Terms of Service

1. Description of Service

Remotcruite is a cloud-based recruitment management platform that enables companies to publish job positions, manage candidate pipelines, invite recruiters, schedule interviews, and integrate with third-party tools. The Service is hosted on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure in the European Union (europe-west1).

2. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
• Company registration requires a valid company email address matching your company domain.
• All new company accounts are subject to manual review and approval by Remotcruite before access is granted.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access at hello@remotcruite.com.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Post discriminatory, fraudulent, or misleading job listings
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized persons
• Use the Service to process personal data in violation of the GDPR or other applicable data protection law
• Send spam, unsolicited communications, or malicious content to candidates

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

• Free plan — available at no charge with limited features. No credit card required.
• Pro plan — a monthly or annual subscription billed via Stripe. Prices are listed on the Pricing page and are inclusive of any applicable VAT.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• All payments are processed by Stripe. Remotcruite does not store payment card details.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at hello@remotcruite.com within 14 days of a charge if you believe it was made in error.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice. Price changes do not apply to the current billing cycle.

5. Data Processing and GDPR

• When you use Remotcruite to collect applicant personal data, you act as the data controller and we act as your data processor under Art. 28 GDPR.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have a valid legal basis to collect and process applicant data, and for providing candidates with appropriate privacy notices.
• You must not instruct us to process personal data in a way that violates applicable law.
• Our Privacy Policy at remotcruite.com/privacy describes how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

• You retain ownership of all content you upload or create on the platform (job listings, candidate data, etc.).
• By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display it solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
• The Remotcruite name, logo, and platform software are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or use them without our written permission.

7. Third-Party Integrations

The Service allows integration with third-party tools (Google Calendar, Zapier, Make, Calendly, etc.). Your use of such tools is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services.

8. Availability and Service Levels

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance at any time, with advance notice where possible. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable EU law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard settings. On deletion, your data is removed within 30 days (except billing records retained as required by law).
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or other valid reasons. We will attempt to provide notice, except in cases of serious violation or legal obligation.
• Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction in which Remotcruite is registered. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by mutual agreement shall be submitted to the competent courts. EU consumers retain all rights under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws regardless of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
